Meet the Founders

Gideon Pfeffer and James Nye, founders of NP Tax Appeals

Gideon Pfeffer and James Nye met at Duke University in 2016 and bonded over a shared love of the outdoors, real estate, and giving back to the community.

James went on to earn his law degree from Wake Forest University, where he developed deep expertise in property tax appeals through his legal practice. Gideon became an electrical engineer and a licensed real estate agent in both North Carolina and California.

The idea for NP Tax Appeals came about when Gideon and James were living together in Raleigh, NC. They saw firsthand how many homeowners were overpaying on property taxes — and knew their combined legal and real estate expertise could make a real difference. They’ve been working ever since to help people keep their hard-earned money.
